There were a few key losses to graduation, including State runner-up Luke Rada, but the Cougars otherwise return a large portion of last year's lineup, including 7 District Medal Winners.

Colts Neck has a great 1-2 punch anchoring the middleweights in seniors Logan Waller and Nick Moldaver. Waller, who is committed to Kutztown, is a 2-time District Champ, and 2-time State Qualifier, who enters the season with 90 career victories. Moldaver, is a 2-time District Finalist, winning the D22 Title in 2019. They give a strong veteran presence in a middle part of the lineup that should have some new starters cracking the lineup from a group that includes sophomore Joe Layton, junior Christian Marcus, and senior Justin Marine, a solid competitor transferring in from Oceanside High in New York.

The Cougars have good experience returning in the upperweights. Senior Joe Barsky is a returning State Qualifier, and is entering his 4th season as a starter. Junior, Ford Zajac won 21-bouts last season and was a runner-up at 152 pounds in D22. Ben Rosen is looking to build off his rookie season where he got some valuable experience in the lineup, and junior Joe Cilea, a double digit winner his freshman year, returns after missing last season. There's a good combo in the 220/Hwt slots, as well, in returning D22 runner-up Ray Santiago, and junior Matt Jannucci.

The junior duo of Michael Lyristis and Eli Novoselov return for Colts Neck down low. Lyristis, a 2-time District Medalist, was the D22 Champ at 106 in 2020, and went on to take 5th at Regions. Novoselov finished 3rd at 126 in Districts last season. They will be joined by some youngsters looking to make an impact in the lineup down low, including freshmen Luke Petino, Sasha Tchekounova, and Tyler Russ, and sophomore DJ Willis.

With seven District medalists in the lineup, the Cougars have plenty of proven talent in the lineup. Add that with some promising newcomers, the return of Cilea, and the anticipated growth of the younger guys looking to build off the experience gained from last season, and Colts Neck looks to be in the hunt in B-North with Matawan and Wall.
